try to keep Vreven and Wapenaar |

are holding talks with Stijn Vreven and Harald Wapenaar in an attempt to
persuade the duo to stay with the club. Both players had asked to be put
on the transfer-list after expressing their dissatisfaction with the
recent dismissal of trainer van Frans Adelaar. Technical director Han
Berger, who couldn't see eye-to-eye with Adelaar, would like to keep the
players in the Domstad and has already held talks with goalie Wapenaar.
Tomorrow he'll be discussing the situation with 'favourite-with-the-fans'
Stijn Vreven. In the meantime the club have appointed John van Loen as the
assistant to the new trainer Foeke Booy. The former striker had been looking
after the club's youth team.
