Advocaat/Van Hanegem take over Oranje?

24 Jan 2002

In the latest twist of the "who's going to take over as Oranje coach" story, Dutch public broadcaster NOS has announced that Dick Advocaat and Willem van Hanegem have signed a contract for 3 years with the Dutch FA (KNVB) to look after Oranje. Although Ruud Krol has been asked to take over temporarily and Ajax have agreed to let him go till the summer it would obviously be better if a 'permanent' solution was found a.s.a.p.! Krol still looks likely to be on the bench for the coming friendly against England but there will be many who will be glad to see the above duo finally 'in the saddle' and Holland back on course!
