MVV
lose to Emmen 2-3
The match started with MVV fans occupying the visitors stand as a
gesture of solidarity with their opponents as both clubs are currently in
a financially weak situation. Although the score may seem to reflect a
close game it was the visitors who dominated the match. Wasiu Taiwod
the score halfway through the 1st half with his 15th goal of the season.
Although Yurtcan Kayis managed to pull one back in the 40th minute of the
game MVV found themselves trailing 1-3 at half time after Junqueira scored
in the 43rd and Marinus Dijkhuizen in the 44th. The 2nd half was a mere
formality and, although Emmen remained the better of the 2 sides, it was
MVV who scored the last goal of the evening, a close range nodder from
John Mutsaers.

with his 16th goal of the season. In the 77th minute Sjaak Lettinga put

Eindhoven
draw
with Emmen 1-1.
Emmen got what they came for last night, a highly desirable un
point to secure a
place in the end of season playoffs. They could have left empty-handed if
Eindhoven's Helmi
Mihci had not missed as many chances as he, so obligingly, did. Ismail Ayazthe
score for Eindhoven with his very 1st goal of the season, rounding off Van Kallen's
cross (after his teammate had made an impressive 50 meter solo-run down the
right flank). 2 minutes into the 2nd half Dennis Iliohan sprang higher than
his direct opponent and headed in from 20 meters. Eindhoven's top scorer
Helmi Mihci should have made it 2-1 a few minutes later but his pathetic
lob lacked accuracy.

Zwolle
beat Emmen
2 - 1.
Zwolle remain in pole position after their 2-1 win against rivals Emmen.
In an exciting match both teams played well and a draw would have been
more appropriate. Emmen took the lead in the 8th minute after Marcel
Keizer netted from close range. Richard Roelofsen levelled the score in
the 39th minute and, only 3 minutes later, he nodded home his second of
the evening. The 2nd half was less entertaining than the 1st half with
both teams unable to score. |

central midfielder Alfons Arts has rejected the offer to discuss a new
deal, for the time being at least.

of the club's financial problems - the budget is €3.5 million Euros but
the club have debts totalling €800,000 Euros. The club has to come up

148 league goal. He lost his place in the lineup earlier this season when
he was injured in the match against Haarlem but has recovered from the
