| Stefan
Jansen signs for NEC |
16 May 2001
|
| TOP
Oss' Toto top scorer Stefan Jansen has finally made up his mind and made a
verbal agreement to sign with NEC. Last week he was still
trying to decide between RKC and the Nijmegen club and I thought he'd
sign for the Waalwijkers who'd just agreed to forge an alliance with the
Toto side. I was wrong!! The 28 year-old will shortly sign a deal
with his new employer for 2 years. |

can't choose between RKC and NEC |

| TOP
Oss' Toto top-scorer Stefan Jansen has been the focus of interest of
several Ere Divisie clubs this season but has rejected offers to sign
for Willem II and De Graafschap. The 28 year-old former Roda JC, FC Den
Bosch, Cambuur Leeuwarden and Salernitana (Italian club) striker
(with 27 goals to his name so far this season) now has to make up his mind
whether to sign for RKC or NEC - my money's on the Waalwijkers!!. |
| RKC
and TOP Oss join forces |
10 May 2001
|
| RKC
and Toto side TOP Oss have announced plans for close commercial,
financial and technical cooperation in the future. RKC players will also
be lent to TOP Oss (Bas Dreef is the 1st and Ron Heesakkers will probably
be the 2nd) while the Waalwijkers will be guaranteed first choice of any
TOP Oss players when they are ready to move on to bigger and better
things. |
| Last
season for TOP Oss' Huub Loeffen |
07 May 2001
|
| Huub
Loeffen is ending his professional career - the 29 year-old has been
suffering from a knee cartilage problem which has forced him to take this
decision. He started his career at Vitesse in 1991, moved to Willem II in
1996 for 3 seasons and then on to Toto side TOP Oss. He will go on
to play amateur football and has already asked for a transfer to "De
Treffers" where he hopes to able to enjoy competitive football
without the intense "wear and tear" of the professional circuit. |

| De
Graafschap want TOP Oss top scorer Stefan Jansen |
03 Apr 2001
|
| Stefan
Jansen's high scoring for TOP Oss in the Toto division has not gone
unnoticed (he's scored 22 goals so far this season) and several clubs are
keeping their eyes on the Toto striker's performance. At the moment De
Graafschap are top of the list of interested Ere Divisie clubs
(preliminary talks have already taken place) but NAC are also interested
and Jansen himself is looking into a possible move abroad. |
| Jansen
hattrick as TOP Oss beat Dordrecht |
02 Apr 2001
|
| Stefan
Jansen scored a hattrick as TOP Oss beat Dordrecht 4 - 0, his 2nd and 3rd
came in the last 20 minute period to take his total for the season to 22.
Dordrecht have plenty to worry about - they were reduced to 10 men early
in the 2nd half when Romeo van Aerde got his 2nd yellow card and had Marco
Boogers sent off in the 74th for punching an opponent (wrong sport!) - and
are sunk in 16th place. |
| Excelsior
go down 3 - 0 at TOP Oss |
24 Feb 2001
|
| Excelsior
took their 2nd beating of the last 7 days with a 3 - 0 defeat at the hands
of TOP Oss. Last weekend they went down 4 - 0 to Den Bosch who haved
up a gap of 3 points with a game in hand at the top of the Toto table. The
Rotterdammers started well enough but a missed penalty by Jarda Simr in
the 14th minute and a red card for Patrick Mtiliga in the 39th put an end
to their hopes in this match. Stefan Jansen was man of the match for TOP
Oss with 2 second half goals in the 62nd and 74th. Edwin de Wijs scored
the 3rd in the 81st. |
| NEC

02 Feb 2001
|
| TOP
Oss's 24 year-old midfielder Marc Peters (son of ex-international Jan
Peters) has signed a contract for 3 years with NEC. He starts on July 1st
at his new club. |
| TOP
Oss lose at home 0-3 to Den Haag |
29 Jan 2001
|
| The
visitors went 1-0 up just before halftime through Maarten Bak. Leonardo
got a 2nd after the break, followed by Bak's 2nd to make it 0-3. ADO Den
Haag couldn't have wished for a better restart to the season while TOP
Oss' Raymond Koopman (in his 100th match) and Ruben Jordan (in his 150th)
would have wished for something else altogether. |
| Verberne
moves to TOP Oss |
07 Dec 2000
|
| The
RBC Roosendaal defender 29 year-old Maurice Verberne has signed up for the
rest of the season with TOP Oss, currently 12th in the Toto Division. He's
been with RBC since 1996 (as well as playing in the past for Den Bosch and
Helmond) but has seen no on-pitch-action this season. |
| Willem
II's Van der Heijden hired to TOP Oss |
01 Dec 2000
|
| The
20 year-old Richard van der Heijden is to play for Toto division club TOP
Oss (who have loads of injured players) for the rest of the season. |
