have won their court case against Benfica over the nonpayment of the fee
still outstanding for Pierre van Hooijdonk's transfer. The judge has also
awarded them costs and the interest on the money concerned, which they
badly need to pay off a loan from utilities giant NUON. Although they may
lay claim to Benfica's assets they will undoubtedly wait until a crisis,
last chance meeting with the Benfica top on December 9th before taking
such drastic action. After all we're all gentlemen aren't we? |
