| New
TV deal for Premier Division |
07 Apr 2001
|
| A
gentlemen's agreement has been reached regarding the broadcasting rights
for Dutch Premier Division football. Good news for many Dutch tv-watchers
is that the regular weekend highlights on public broadcaster the NOS's
Studio Sport programme will continue, live matches (albeit in a reduced
form) will be available via satellite station Canal+, while
telecommunications giant KPN has bought the internet rights. The deal is
worth €54 million Euros over 3 years compared to the current €34
million. |
