trainer calls for smaller squad |

trainer Erik Gerets has said that he believes a smaller squad could well
be a necessary measure if the club wish to retain the top position in the
Dutch Premier League. At this time the squad contains 28 players (in
reality 26 due to the long term absence of van Nistelrooy and Addo). Even taking their absence into consideration Gerets still thinks the
squad is on the large side and that it was unfair to have talented young
players permanently on the reserve bench. |
