arrested in Ajax/NAC fraud case |

| The
Ajax and Georgian international striker Shota Arveladze has been arrested
and detained for questioning in connection with the investigation into
possible tax fraud at the Amsterdam club. Ajax's treasurer Arie van Os and
former financial director Maarten Oldhof have also been detained while at
NAC (the other club under investigation by tax investigators FIOD)
ex-chairman John Peek and former treasurer John Schonk have similarly been
held in custody. It's expected that it will be several days before any of
the 'suspects' are released. |
