23 year-old defender Frank Broers has signed a contract with Toto Division
Emmen for 2 years while their striker Bert Zuurman has signed for 3 years
with Zwolle. |

| Emmen's
latest addition is Rutger Feijer who is currently playing for amateurs
Achilles 1894 (with whom he won the amateur championship last season). The
23 year-old defender, who has signed up for 2 years, previously played for
HZVV, De Weide and FC Groningen. |

are interested in signing Groningen's Billy Maximiano and Hans Visser to
plug the hole left by the departure of Mark Hegeman and Erik Eleveld (off
to Heerenveen), Berry Hoogeveen (off to Heracles) and Leo Koswal and
Gerard Kocks (who are no longer needed/wanted). Maximiano and Visser
joined Groningen in 1999 from, respectively, Dordrecht and Harelbeek but
are not getting regular 1st team action with the northerners. |

have signed Emmen's 24 year-old left-footed defender Marc Hegeman who's
transfer-free this summer. He's signed up for two years with an option on
another two. |

Oostrum moves to Telstar |

| Michel
van Oostrum is on hire to Telstar for the rest of the season. The 34
year-old striker couldn't reckon on a regular 1st team place at Emmen
under the recently departed Jan de Jonge. He wants to return to fight for
a place in the Emmen lineup next season under new trainer Hennie
Spikerman. |

Jonge and Emmen part ways pronto |

de Jonge and Emmen have agreed that the trainer should leave and let
someone take over the team after the continuing poor performances by the
Toto division side. They're stuck in 8th place and some way behind the
pack. De Jonge is off to Heerenveen to take over the youth academy there
next season and Emmen's squad will be in the safe hands of Henk
Reuvers, assisted by Albert Koops, until the arrival of new trainer Hennie
Spijkerman next season. |

win away at Emmen 4-2 |

was another assured performance from Zwolle. Emmen's Jean-Paul van Bilsen
gave away an own goal to get the visitors going in the 1st minute! Richard
Roelofsen, John den Dunnen and Henk van Steeg took it to 4-0 before Bert
Zuurman got one back for the home side in the 72nd minute and followed it
up with another in the 87th. |

scale of this home defeat for Emmen will have come as a shock. Heracles
surprised themselves, after the home side started the ball rolling with
their only goal (Berry Hoogeveen), with three goals from Rik
Platvoet, an own goal Xmas present from Emmen's Hegeman, and a 5th from
Becker. |

of the table Eindhoven surprised with this win over Emmen. Stanley
MacDonald scored in both halfs, Ivo
Jongepier made it 3 for the home side in the 67th minute. Marc Hegeman's
corner went in all on its own 5 minutes before time to restore a liitle
honour for the visitors. Eindhoven are now 16th instead of 18th in the
table |

Migchelsen, 2nd choice in goal for Emmen (1st choice is the Dutch Under 18
goalie Jelle ten Rouwelaar) has signed a contract until the end of 2002
with VVV, who have had problems finding a suitable keeper after their
coach decided that Rein Baart was no longer good enough and his
replacement (fulltime postman Wim Jacobs) didn't have enough time to
train. |
