| René
Ponk signs for Utrecht |
30 June 2001
|
| The
Domstad side have added Dordrecht 90's goalkeeper René Ponk to their
squad. Ponk
came originally from FC Utrecht before moving to Spanish side Compostela
in 1997, returning last year to Holland - it's expected he'll be 2nd
choice after no.1 keeper Harald Wapenaar. |
| Jansen
hattrick as TOP Oss beat Dordrecht |
02 Apr 2001
|
| Stefan
Jansen scored a hattrick as TOP Oss beat Dordrecht 4 - 0, his 2nd and 3rd
came in the last 20 minute period to take his total for the season to 22.
Dordrecht have plenty to worry about - they were reduced to 10 men early
in the 2nd half when Romeo van Aerde got his 2nd yellow card and had Marco
Boogers sent off in the 74th for punching an opponent (wrong sport!) - and
are sunk in 16th place. |
| Van
den Ham leaves Dordrecht |
17 Mar 2001
|
| Harry
van den Ham is to leave Dordrecht '90 at the end of the season after only
one year as trainer. The former DS'79 and FC Utrecht player, who's also
looked after SHO Telstar and Holland, had apparently set contractual terms
which the club are unable to meet. |
| Derks
get fined |
23 Dec 2000
|
| Toto
division Dordrecht '90's chairman Frans Derks has been fined for his
misconduct (threatening behaviour towards referee Wout Schaap) in the
break at the match against Emmen. He's got a fine of 2,500 Euros to pay
and a conditional 'professional ban' of 6 months when he won't be able to
carry out his current duties. |
| Dordecht
and Emmen finish off their Nov. 25th match |
07 Dec 2000
|
| The
match, which was suspended by the referee after Dordrecht's chairman Frans
Derks made all kinds of unpleasant/threatening comments at halftime
(roughly translated - "you refereed like a turd!") has not gone
in Dordrecht's favour - they lost 2 - 3. The Dutch FA will be deciding
soon what will be fitting punishment for Derk's 'offence'. |
| 'Conduct
unbecoming' investigation faces Frans Derks |
28 Nov 2000
|
| The
Dordrecht-Emmen Toto division match last Saturday was stopped at half time
when the referee Wout Schaap was verbally abused and intimidated. The
culprit was ex-referee and current Dordrecht chairman Frans Derks. He must
have said some nasty things and been quite intimidating for the match to
be stopped - there is now to be an investigation into the incident. |
| Excelsior
top after 5 - 4 win over Dordrecht '90 |
06 Nov 2000
|
| The
scoreline is misleading - Excelsior were far stronger in midfield
than their opponents. Jarda Simr and Thomas Buffel performed an
excellent job in midfield - so it was a surprise that Dordrecht went
2 goals up in the 1st quarter of an hour thanks to Marco Boogers and
Glen Summerville. Sjaak Polak scored a penalty for the home team and
Thomas Buffel made it 2-2 before halftime. The visitors looked
chaotic in midfield and Excelsior looked to have everything under
control, Connolly scored a hat trick for them to take them to 5-2 by
the 78th minute. They lost concentration after that, allowing
Dordrecht to score another 2 goals, courtesy of Mark de Vries and
Jermaine Sandvliet. Excelsior are back on top with 25 points from 11
games and Dordrecht '90 are 14th with 12 points. |
